PREGNANCY WEEK 15
During this week of pregnancy, your baby is about 4 -4 1/2 inches in length and weighs a little
over 2 ounces. Your baby's growth is quite rapid and your baby's skin is very thin- so blood vessels can be seen.
Fine hair called lanugo covers your baby's body at this point. Bones are getting harder and ossifying very rapidly.
Your baby has taste buds and also may get the hiccups from time to time.
Changes in You:
You might feel your ligaments stretching in your abdomen. As the uterus expands, the elastic
tissue (ligaments) that support it stretch to accommodate it's growth. The process can cause twinges, cramps or
pulling sensations on one or both sides of your lower abdomen. Soaking in a warm bath may help.
